Happy Elf sketchy

Here's a sketchy I did during a boring lecture. Turned out to be quite presentable really, and I didn't want to ruin it with fine lining (which I feel sometimes doesn't do justice to a sketch).

I even developed a little backstory as I did this:

Les (he cut his name short) was a perfectly normal son of an elf noble, expected to take over the reigns of his noble father and all, until the day the song 'It's a pirate's life for me!' entered his life thanks to a human merchant.

The song stuck in his head, and no matter how he tried, he couldn't stop wondering what it meant. What was this 'Yo Ho Ho' and what was a 'pirate'?

The curiosity became a maddening obsession that eventually drove him to seek out the merchant in lands far from home. The merchant turned out to be (gasp) a pirate, and was more than a little bewildered by the questions.
Many words of wisdom and tales of 'high' adventure were imparted that day, and Les made a decision that would change his life for better or for worse.

Tales are already being spread of the strange elf pirate who swears only in the flowery language of the Elven courts, is REMARKABLY knowledgeable of tax (and law) evasion, and can apparently hold more drink than three large men combined. And anyone who assumes that all elves are peace loving pansies will quickly learn that some of them can inflict a lot of damage with a simple beer bottle.
